Hello! I’m Yuki.

I’m a Product Designer in Toronto, currently working in the Customer Service team @ Amazon. In this role, I collaborate with product and tech partners to improve the workflows of thousands of Amazon customer service associates around the world.

Before Amazon, I worked as a Product Design Consultant @ Avanade—a leading digital innovator and joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture.

How I Got Here

Prior to Avanade, I worked as a freelancer mostly with startups. Although freelancing provided lots of flexibility, I longed for a team structure in which I can collaborate with others and also share my learnings with others.

What’s Different About Me

What’s different about me is that I actually studied Business Management @ the University of Toronto before becoming a designer. My background has been extremely helpful to me as a designer because I can easily empathize with cross-functional teams and connect the dots in terms of business goals, product strategy, technical constraints, and user needs.

Most importantly, I strive to prove the business value of design by tracking and analyzing the outcomes of design with data and metrics. 

Outside of Work

You can find me sipping on the coolest flavours of bubble tea while reading about the latest and greatest in design and tech. I also enjoy travelling and trying out new restaurants and bakeries around town.
